                                                         QUALIFICATIONS

Ski expedition to the North Pole is a serious personal challenge. One should be ready to face that physically
and mentally. It is better to enjoy the trip rather then to suffer from that.
To get prepared you should be ready to ski or trek (depending on ice conditions) for 8 - 10 hours a day for
3 - 4 days. You should also be ready to pull a sled of 15 - 20 kg which contains you personal and communal
equipment, fuel and food. Ice surface is mainly uneven, so you should not expect smooth skiing and pulling.

Temperatures normally are in between - 20 and - 35 C, so you should be quite familiar with low temperatures
like that. It can be windy, so count on wind-chill effect as well. And keep in mind that there is a pretty small
difference in temperature during a day, cause the sun is constantly up, but only a few degrees above the horizon.
Previous experiences in trekking, mountaineering, winter sports (particularly skiing) and winter camping are
quite welcome. Please contact your physician before making a decision to join the expedition.

Please note:
A Deposit of $5,000. USD is required to confirm your place on the expedition. Of this deposit, $1,000 will be non-refundable. Deposits will be credited against the balance due at the exchange rate in effect when final payment is made. Any deposit over the non-refundable $1,000 will be returned prior to January 15, 2008, should you cancel your participation with the expedition. After January 20th, 2008, there are no deposit refunds.
Final payments are due prior to January 15, 2008.
Bookings made after February 1, 2008 will have an increase of 10% of the listed price.
This is a limited participation expedition. Register early to insure your place at the North Pole.
